  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or whole milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Extra cream or milk for brushing tops

  1. Made these this morning. I had to make some substitutions using what I had available. I didn’t have enough flour so I added some beignet mix I had to makeup the difference and I only had 2% milk and margarine. I used the peach syrup from the can with powdered sugar to make a glaze. All that being said, they were really good! A cup of tea, a warm scone and a good book made this gal a happy camper.
