Kitchen Equipment Needed :
- Kitchen Equipment Needed
- Mixing bowls
- Whisk
- Measuring cups and spoons
- 9×13-inch baking pan
- Parchment paper or non-stick spray
- Spatula
- Small saucepan for glaze ” optional “

Tips for Maple Donut Bars
– If baking with kids, let them help whisk the glaze or spread it on the bars.
– Let the bars cool completely before glazing so the glaze stays on top instead of melting into the bars.
– You can add chopped nuts on top of the glaze for a little crunch if you like.

– Use real maple syrup for the best flavor. Pancake syrup will not give the same taste.
What to Eat with Maple Donut Bars ??
These maple donut bars are one of my favorite treats for slow mornings or cozy afternoons. I love enjoying them with a hot cup of Vanilla Almond Milk Cappuccino, letting the warm maple flavor really shine.
When we have guests over for brunch, I like to pair them with fresh fruit or yogurt to balance the sweetness. My husband often grabs one for an afternoon snack or packs it for work because they’re filling and satisfying without being too heavy.
Ingredients :
For the Donut Bars :
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1½ teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon ” optional but cozy “
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup melted butter slightly cooled
- 2 large eggs
- ¾ cup milk
- ¼ cup pure maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Maple Glaze :
- 1½ cups powdered sugar
- ¼ cup pure maple syrup
- 2–3 tablespoons milk
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
How to Make Maple Donut Bars :
Step 1
Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it so the bars do not stick. This step makes cleanup much easier later.
Step 2
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Mixing the dry ingredients first helps the donut bars bake evenly and stay fluffy.

Step 3
With that done in a large bowl, mix the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each one. Stir in the milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until everything looks creamy and well combined.
While it bakes slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Use a spatula or whisk and mix gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, because that can make the donut bars dense instead of soft.
Step 4
Once prepared pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Tap the pan lightly on the counter to remove air bubbles. Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
During this time remove the pan from the oven and let the donut bars cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then lift them out using the parchment paper and place them on a cooling rack.

Step 5
While the bars cool, make the glaze. In a bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, maple syrup, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth. If the glaze feels too thick, add a little more milk. If it feels too thin, add more powdered sugar.
Step 6
As a final touch once the donut bars are completely cool, spread the glaze evenly over the top. Let the glaze set for about 10–15 minutes, then slice into bars and enjoy.
