Have you ever had one of those weeks when everything feels off because and your drink my thinking about preparing dinner Forget it because that was me last Tuesday when I stared at see purchase slip as if it owed me answers.

Then there it was so I found a sad little head of romaine but I added some crunchy croutons and a punchy dressing so boom—Caesar salad to the rescue.

I tried making the dressing from scratch I might have over-garlic-ed it so my husband didn’t talk for a full minute while tears filled his eyes whether from joy or spice—we’ll never know.

But seriously have you ever had a real Caesar salad instead of the kind that’s drowning in bottled goo because a homemade one with sharp parmesan and zesty lemon and that creamy, tangy magic is something else.

It’s easier than you’d think and way tastier than takeout.

Ingredients :

  • 1 large head of romaine lettuce
  • 1 cup of croutons
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg yolk for the dressing
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Caesar Salad

Step 1

Prepare the lettuce: Wash the romaine lettuce leaves well and dry them with a salad spinner or clean towels. Tear the leaves into bite-sized pieces then Add the lettuce to a salad bowl or salad plate. Set that aside.
